Our school

If you walk in our school you will be surprised to find a warm and friendly atmosphere, strengthened by the school's motto "Our school – a welcoming, tolerant and friendly school” and the school's mission.
Our school mission is to provide an educational environment that leads to physical and intellectual development of all students, irrespective of their origin. It springs from the idea of including all children and young people in preschool and school education, to discover and value every student’s skills, talent, passions and to preserve local traditions alive.

The school teaches a total of 222 students, 80% of them belonging to the gypsy community. 102 pupils are in primary school, 88 in secondary school and 32 in "second chance“ education .

"Second chance“ education includes young community members (mostly gypsies), who exceed the standard school age, who dropped  school for various reasons and who are now offered the opportunity to complete the 8-grade compulsory education.

The educational projects undergone in recent years - "Access to education for disadvantaged groups “(Phare)," My rights are your rights "(funded by the Royal Netherlands Embassy) - have attempted  to provide all Romanian and Gypsy children and other members of the community the opportunity to attend preschool, primary, secondary and " second chance “ education in order to complete compulsory education and thus having the possibility to attend higher ranks of education (university).

We do believe that education is the basis for individuality  and has a major impact on the development of the whole society. Therefore, ensuring equal opportunities to quality education for all is of great importance for us and starting from this school year we implement a project entitled "School is the foundation of your future- do not drop school!“ financed from FSE funds, consisting of different activities organised in the afternoon, such as doing homework, the school for parents, a club for crafts and preserving traditions.
