During 16th-20th November 2009, at Bolu- Turkey, took place the first meeting within the project. Our school was represented by 4 teachers.

We visited the hosting school(„Mehmet Ersory Akif Primary School”) and the park in front of it, attended by the teachers from this school, we visited the exhibition at the hosting school, containing pupils’ works, made at ability classes, from recyclable materials.
We analysed the existing differences and similarities between the teaching system in Turkey, Romania and other involved countries.
We watched a show displayed by Turkish pupils with the title „Clean Earth”, traditional dances customs.

We had a visit for documentation, with the local authorities, who showed us relevant places for their efforts to save nature, the environment, etc. We learned modern ways to recycle garbage; we saw a modern station for wastewater discharge, an ecological garbage ditch isolated with a membrane, halls where garbage is selected for further processes.

During 21st-25th April 2010 SCHOOL NO.8 COLONY RM. VALCEA participated at the second Comenius project “Mission: Clean Earth” meeting in GHAXAQ-MALTA.
Together with the 7 pupils and 5 teachers from our school there were present teachers and pupils from the partner countries: Italy, Spain, Portugal, Turkey and of course Malta.
The reunion assessed the way in which the project was unfolding, its impact on the beneficiaries, the information and materials exchange and it also established the objectives and the activities which were going to take place until the following meeting.

On the first day of the meeting we visited the hosting school and we could notice the differences, but also the similarities between the Romanian and Maltese teaching system. Next, we admired the exhibition of the pupils’ works made from recyclable materials.
We also admired the green corner laid out by the pupils and teachers in the inner schoolyard, a great place to relax and delight. In the school’s hall we saw that every class prepared a board with suggestive images for every country involved in the project.
